Rava Kesari (Simple Dessert Recipe)




ரவா கேசரி - Rava Kesari 


The sweet Indian food that is common throughout the country. 

The classic ingredients used for its preparation are semolina, sugar, ghee (usually), water, and milk. 

The sweet most commonly known as Jonnadula Halwa in certain parts of northern India . 

The only secret of Indian dessert is ghee (clarified butter) The correct amount of ghee the tasty dessert is.

It is one of the easiest Indian desserts served hot 🍮. Almost everyone's favorite.

Healthy Cooking Method:

Rava Kesari can be cooked in many ways to get the most delicious taste out. I have provided the most easiest at the same time healthy way of cooking the Rava Kesari  is explained below.


Easy Recipe :

Ingredients:


1/2 cup Rava/sooji

1 cup Sugar1 and 1/2 cups of water 1/2 cup Ghee(clarified butter) 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder 
Few Cashews, Rasins (dried grapes)
A pinch of Saffron 

Procedure:


Heat pan and add cashews,raisins


Roast it n keep it aside

Add rava/sooji to same pan n roast it for 5 mins in medium flame


Keep it aside

Add water and once it boils, add rava/sooji slowly and keep stirring to avoid lumps


On low flame keep stirring and add food color or saffron


If adding saffron, soak saffron in 1 tablespoon milk and add to the mixture n stir it


Add cardamom powder

Tip: If u don't have powder, u can just pound the whole cardamom and add.

Once the water is absorbed, add sugar and keep stirring

Slowly add the remaining ghee and keep stirring.

Garnish with fried cashews raisins and switch off the flame.

Serve hot!

Tip: Stirring is important through out the process...
